We can barely contain our excitement!
Taylor woke up this morning as a first grader and was ready to get started!
We're wild about Africa! She was so excited for our first co-op lesson with the girls later this afternoon!

We love workboxes! Taylor gets to work in whatever order she wants...as long as all the work gets done. :0)

To practice her reading, we started Lions at Lunchtime ...her first chapter book (2nd-3rd grade)! 
She breezed right through the first chapter...
Another worksheet. Taylor loves worksheets, so even though they're just "busy work", she's always excited to do them.
We're starting with Explode the Code phonics workbooks...starting with Book 2.
Taylor just breezed through everything I had planned for today...which wasn't all that much since we had a co-op lesson in the afternoon with 2 more hours of intense work. We decided to pull out the Safari puzzle!
In Lions at Lunchtime, Jack, Annie, and a Maasai warrior have peanut butter and honey sandwiches for lunch... Taylor thought that sounded yummy! And it was!
Such a fun first day....with even more to come in the afternoon!
Taylor looked so happy to be starting school in that adorable dress with all the wild animals on it. And she is such a beautifully behaved first grader. So grown up now!
