The next book for our Magic School Bus Book Club was The Fishy Field Trip....Ms. Frizzle and the class travel down to the Great Barrier Reef and learn all about the coral reef and many of its inhabitants!

A few of the books we read about coral reefs...
The girls learned that The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living thing in the world! And also that it can be seen from space! Did you know that it also could reach from New York to Miami, Florida?!? Amazing!
We watched Exploring Oceans: The Great Barrier Reef on Youtube...
I printed off a few pages from this activity book...
The girls then started working on their Great Barrier Reef diorama... fun fun fun!
They did such a GREAT job on it! We even hung a few sea creatures from the top with dental floss as if they were swimming in the ocean!

I glued real sand to the bottom too!
We ended the day with Finding Nemo... which happens to take place in the Great Barrier Reef!
