The Final Countdown!

Only 18 more days to go until the first day of school! All us "teachers" are so excited for the upcoming year! We know how much fun the kids will have and also how much learning they will be doing, and it just makes us all a little giddy!
We'll be getting the year started with a month long study of Africa and all of its wonderfully wild animals...some geography, traditional African dresses and head wraps for the girls, a real "safari" (trip to the zoo), a giraffe painting class, making African masks, some cooking, learning a little Swahili...and the list goes on and on and on!
What a wonderful gift to give our children...and each other. Each mom has her own lessons prepared (each just as enriching as the others!), and we all are counting down the days! I can't wait to see what all our first co-op year has in store for us!
