We are again a part of an amazing Classical Conversations community and are using CC's history and science memory work for each week as a guide to further learn about those topics. This week's focus was on absolute monarchs and the planets in ou solar system. I'm teaching the girls history and my sweet, and super smart friend Melissa, is teaching science. What a perfect match! It's a great group of girls, and we couldn't be happier with our little group!
We did a lapbook to learn about absolute monarchs...
And then it was time for some awesome science fun!
The girls made the solar system using candy!
And reviewed the order of the planets...
Then we went outside and mapped out the distance of each planet from the sun...excuse the shoes...it was a windy day!
What a fun first day of learning with our new little co-op! We love homeschooling!
